Philosophy

In the counseling I provide, the goal is to empower the client; you are the expert on you.  I act as a guide helping you challenge self-defeating thoughts and behaviors that are causing emotional distress.  One of my goals is to provide you, as the client, with tools for developing healthy living habits, thoughts and emotions. 

My approach to counseling draws from a variety of theories and techniques designed to help the client with the process of changing negative thoughts and behaviors.

The length of time you spend in therapy is solely up to you.  I will give you feedback in this regard.  As a consumer, you have the right to ask questions and be responsible for your therapy.
